the land of grape and honey

i totally neglected to post pictures from two weeks ago, my trip through (some) of oregon's wine country. there are, apparently, a lot of wineries and vineyards outside of portland (and very close to my work, although i wouldn't know this seeing as i don't have a car). we didn't plan them out really, just sort of drove on 99W through a bunch of small towns and sprawling landscapes. we stopped at two for tastings: august cellars (free wine tastings, no vineyard--they get their grapes imported and make the wine on the property) and sokol blosser (fancy tasting room, vineyard and winery on a beautiful estate). pictures are mostly from sokol blosser, but a few are from the road passing through.
