so this is the parenthetical girls. they are local, and a few months back, i was completely obsessed with them. it's simmered down a little bit now, but i still really enjoy their suede-esque glam/classical/indie tunes and pretty faces.

(if you're in portland, and you like this, they're playing at backspace tonight. i am considering going but there are two openers, and i have to be at the fez by 11, so it seems like i might miss them completely.)
