(no subject)

i did not take a photo every day of last week. which is, again, not to say that i am giving up (i have some good alternate shots over the past week or two that i did not use, and i've decided in the spirit of the project i'd rather use those than call it quits, just yet). but it has become harder and harder for me to tote my camera everywhere, and i have been less and less interested in documenting everything this way. this past year i have felt myself with camera like one might be with child--it felt natural for me to watch and frame and capture. but something changed in the past few weeks, and i feel burdened and tethered by the camera instead of inspired.

also, both of my cameras are on the fritz: my "baby camera" (the point & shoot i carry on many days where my other camera is too much of a burden) is on its last leg; my DSLR is acting moderately quirky since i dropped it.
