saturday began with breakfast...which i always do in excess (arguably, the only way to do it. i love breakfast.)

the spread (blueberry pancakes, waffles, eggs, grits, and a few voodoo donuts on the side).

my wonderful house guest [livejournal.com profile] fraxl, sara, james and i spent saturday afternoon at multnomah falls (no pictures, because i already posted some), then exploring the columbia river gorge.

picnic at the park. the angle is kind of weird, because we're actually maybe 40-50 feet above the river.

this is the view from the riverbank.

just cross this river and you'd be in washington...

after our picnic at the gorge, the car was running on fumes, so we ascended a mountain pass in search of a gas station. we stumbled upon an amazing overlook point called the portland women's forum.

looking out.

zooming in. that's the vista house on the right (which i am amused to learn was chided as "the $100,000 outhouse" in 1916.)

returning home, we three began getting ready for [livejournal.com profile] goddessmikhail's birthday party, themed "center for disease control." always opting for horrifying or gross costume attire, we decided to go as the black plague.

james was the doctor:

and our album cover shot (we'll do all nick cave murder ballad covers and other songs about disease):

the party was fun, but i didn't want to be obnoxious so i only took a couple pictures:

playing doctor:

we ended our saturday night at mt tabor legacy lounge for the oubliette night, which was very impressive! basically "dark 80's" with some old school goth mixed in...very SNV.
