"a downward spiral to middle school..."

i can't do polls anymore, because i let my paid account expire. [this is okay by me.] so i'm posting a "poll" to be answered in the comments, because i'm curious.
what fad, specifically accessory, do you remember wearing in the 90's? [the idea of this is to avoid the quintessential 80's garb--we all KNOW that stuff was ugly, and we all had it--but get into the early-to-mid 90's era of ugliness.]

not exactly these, but this is the best i could find. but yeah: CRYSTAL BALL NECKLACES. i had a few of them--the one i remember best was on a ball-chain, came a few inches above my belly button, and was clear crystal [probably glass]. i remember it had a flat metal piece that held the ball that constantly fell off--my mom would superglue it back--until finally i lost it.
i did grow up in louisiana, and that often explains or justifies my weird memories of what was "in style." but my teammate remembers these necklaces, too, which proves that i am not crazy.
so: post a comment with something you remember wearing/owning from the 90's.

Date: 2004-08-12 05:59 pm (UTC)Actually, I think those are kinda pretty! I'd never seen them before this post and had no idea this was a fad in the early '90s. I'll post when I think of what I wore back then.
