i just had to "urban dictionary" check FTW and BFFAE. because i didn't know what either of them stood for. hi, i've been online since 1992, but apparently have fallen behind the times.

informatively, i've cut LOL out of my 'net vocabulary, but added IDK (thanks to albertamae).

what's ftw? bffae isn't internet-speak so much as it is middle school yearbook signing speak. also, lylas (love ya like a sister). woot.

I'm so glad I read this post this morning. I didn't know what ANY of these meant, and Jesse used FTW in an e-mail to me this afternoon. Lucky for me, I had already looked at Urban Dictionary. :)

Sadly, I still remember a few Chaucer blog abbreviations (http://houseoffame.blogspot.com/2006/03/abbreviaciouns.html) off the top of my head (e.g. BSL = By Seinte Loy!), which do me no good whatsoever in real life.
